Allegro is a bay tobiano gelding born in 2009 and registered with American Warmblood Association.<\/div>\n

Allegro<\/span> has a bit of a different story than most of our homebred. Of all them, he is the one that has the most extensive show career so far and the one that has changed hands the most.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He has a very long record on Equestrian Canada mostly at 1.10 and 1.15 m. Clearly, he is a good horse with a good character and soundness as he shows a lot, wins a lot, and changes hand when his riders are ready to move up.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

His dam was a short and compact saddlebred mare of the old type (think good bone for her size and a strong short back, normal size neck) and Echo was to be her first foal. <\/span><\/div>\n

We wanted to breed a nice sport horse and we were hoping for some color so I contacted the most experienced colored warmblood stallion owner in NA (Liz Hall)\u00a0 and we discussed options between Sympatico, Art Deco, and State of the Art. We agreed State of the Art with his high percentage of TB blood and his tendency to throw nice long legs would be the better fit. She warned me that some of his offspring could be a bit sharp but Aurora the mare had the temperament we aimed for: sensible, forgiving, and really easy to train.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Allegro was born in the middle of the day, in the middle of the paddock to a dam that had no idea what to do with him. It took her 24 hours with a visit to the vet and some drugs on board to finally get her to accept that he needed to nurse (she kept wanting to keep him in front of her at all times- common for maiden mares). Once he got to nurse he got over-ambitious and promptly inhaled some milk, which put him on a treatment plan that required two injections per day. Poor colt was terrified of people for the first two weeks of his life. But he came around quickly after that.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Right from the start, his canter was amazing it was just so balanced and adjustable and clearly his gait of choice. Good canter makes for a good jumper!<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He was sold at a few weeks old to a young lady that wanted something to bring along and do some dressage. After that, as I mentioned, he changed hands many time. Although registered as Allegro he was renamed Echo for his EC passport. At five he was already doing his job, competing in 1.00 and 1.10 m classes at recognized shows.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“He is our daughter\u2019s first horse! She is 14 and got him last year. She loves him very much and has been very successful last season with him as her partner They are a perfect match and he is SO loved and we know his previous owner too. Thank you for breeding such a marvelous horse and allowing many to learn from him and be his partner”. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
