Some predictability this year at the farm!
Arriving in May and June are two crosses with somewhat known outcomes.
One is a repeat breeding and the other is pairing a now very proven mare and stallions that share a lot of similarities. In both crosses, we have direct experience with the stallion’s offspring having had some born at the farm already.
Parcival X Kreation (expected in June)
The pairing of Parcival with Kreation is very much a breeding of like to like in many ways. They both offer excellent, smart, willing temperament paired with compact strong body types and elegant necks. Neither of them are the extra modern type that is somewhat more fragile and in fact Parcival was competing in Grand Prix dressage late in his teens.

Quite a few of Kreation’s siblings (same dam) have or are showing over fences (hunters and eventers) and Parcival’s breeding is mostly Jumpers indicating that the upcoming foal could truly be a very versatile athlete. The previous Parcival baby we bred was out of our sadly deceased Saddlebred/TB mare Kyana and he complemented her so well. Petillant (aka Kyanti) is a well balanced, charming, bold young horse progressing well in his training. He has an excellent canter, something his dam definitely lacked and he is sound of body and mind. He turned to be a good size horse despite his dam’s diminutive size. He has good bone and good feet and is very appreciated by his owner/trainer.

In all likelihood this upcoming Parcival foal will have his dam’s black coat and perhaps some white markings and should be of reasonable size (around 16.1hh).
Dauphin X Zigami (expected in May)
The other expected foal will be a repeat pairing of Dauphin and Zigami that gave us the cheeky little dancing colt Suarez born two years ago. Once more we look to pair the modern lined Zigami with the more traditional sound and strong lines of Donnerhall via one of his only remaining breeding son Dauphin.

Zack’s line often cross quite well with the D line and many horses with that particular cross have graced the dressage rings in europe. We look to Dauphin to improve Zigami’s neck connection that could be better, shorten a bit her long tall frame ( our taste in this case as the current trend is to produce more long lines and legs) and more calm and confidence between the ears.
We had two Dauphin’s foal already and have seen quite a few on social media and on line. They are almost always well balanced beautiful sane amateur type of horses. It is worth noting that the Hanoverian statistics show that Dauphin influence positively almost everything from the frame, the quality of the gaits and the correctness of the legs. He does not make great jumping horses however, no big surprises there with his lineage of mostly dressage specialists. He generally does not produce very big.
Both parents carry a chestnut genes (from Donnerhall directly in the case of Dauphin, and from Jazz in the case of Zigami) so their upcoming foal could be black (~37%), chestnut (25%), or bay (~37%).
